GOSH Cosmetics Foundation Review

GOSH Cosmetics Foundations

Trying to find my holy grail foundation is hard work. Looking and buying both high end and drug store but I’ve still not found “The One”. GOSH are a brand that are bringing out more and more new products, so I decided that I would try some of their foundations.

All the GOSH foundations are paraben and perfume free. The first foundation I have tried is the GOSH Foundation Drops. Boasting medium buildable coverage and containing Argan Oil. When first applying, I find this foundation needs buffing into the skin. Otherwise it tends to sit on the skin and not looks so natural. Powdering over with a translucent powder has the added advantage of setting this foundation. With my combination skin I find this necessary as otherwise it can look a little shiny in the t-zone.

Wear time I can get a good 8 hours. It tends to wear off fairly evenly. I like this foundation but find that due to the Argan oil it’s not the best for warm summer days or rushing about.

The next GOSH foundation I tried is the Foundation Plus+. Claiming to both cover and conceal, containing Hyaluronic Acid, Liquid Sea Minerals and Seaweed. I was expecting a full coverage and heavy looking foundation, but was pleasantly surprised that this does not look cakey in the slightest. The GOSH Foundation Plus+ sits really well on my skin. Applying with either a beauty blender or a flat top buffing brush produces medium buildable coverage. This is a foundation that looks very skin like. The fact that I found it wearing well throughout the day was an added bonus.

The final GOSH foundation I tried is the X-Ceptional Wear Foundation. A medium coverage long wearing formula, this was the foundation that has been around for the longest of the 3 that I tried. Giving a matte finish, I enjoyed this foundation on days where I wanted my foundation to last a little longer. I found the colour of this foundation to be the best match.

Talking of colours, one of the down side of the GOSH foundations are the colour range. The colour range is very limited, which will greatly restrict those able to use these foundations. It’s a great shame as a number of drugstore brands are now producing foundation to cover a wider range. On the whole, however I have enjoyed all 3 foundations and will continue to use them. Unfortunately none of them are of holy grail status.

****Disclaimer – I purchased the products discussed in this review. This is my honest review and all opinions expressed are my own****
